Academics
The management together with the dedicated and loyal teachers and committed non-teaching staff immense their power, sow, water, nurture and build the dreams of the child that enters the portals of Pius Memorial High School. They help the students to meet the challenges of globalization, by preparing them academically, imparting values as well as by giving them the needed information on career guidance that prepares the students for their future choices.
Though the school follows the Maharashtra State Board syllabus, the students are acquainted to the CBCS syllabus from 1st to 5th standard. This is an added responsibility that the management has taken to give their students the best. The students too are intrinsically motivated and this is reflected in securing 100% pass results of the outgoing X standard students right from its inception.
The school cabinet
Today the society is changing in all dimensions, be it in terms of awareness, competitive spirit, economic independence and particularly in qualities of leadership, self-reliance and dependability. All these are fostered by means of squad system commandeered by the cabinet.
Students are constantly encouraged, and opportunities given to participate in various cultural, literary and sports activities both within and outside the school.
Our Patrons
The whole school is divided into four squads. They are:
Preeti Squad which stands for love and their patron saint is St. Bartholomea
Neeti Squad which stands for justice and their patron Saint is St. Joseph
Jyoti Squad which stands for light and their patron saint is St. Gerosa
Shanti Squad which stand for peace and their patron Saint is St. Francis
The colour of the four houses and Red, Blue, Yellow and Green. Each student belongs to one of the for houses and strives to excel in the value it stand for. For the smooth running of various activities, each group has its own group leader, his / her assistant to monitor its works. Above all the school students community is headed by the school pupil leader, games leader and their assistants.
Outings/outreach programmes
Pius School Management firmly upholds the conviction that childhood needs to be filled with fun along with serious academics. Hence annual picnics are organized every year right from Nursery to the X standard students. The students are accompanied by their respective teachers and the Mausees to close by places where they have exciting experience through the day. The X standard students have the additional privilege of going for Educational Tour outside the State for a period of 10 -12 days.
The staff and students are made aware of those around and the responsibility as citizens of our mother land to care for the aged, the disadvantaged, the less fortunate and those who get affected due to natural calamities. Students therefore are taken to the home for the aged to interact with the inmates and add joy and happiness to their lives. During Christmas students are motivated to contribute in kind to help the slum dwellers and the needy. Program for the Trans-persons is organized to make them feel they are respected as human beings like us. During natural calamities like floods the students are encouraged to contribute and when possible they are also given an opportunity to visit the place and help out.
During academic year 2022 -2023 the school has adopted the neighbouring village Thakravadi and the staff and students are making all efforts to uplift the village in small ways.
